Smith Rowe has been impressive for the Gunners during their pre-season campaign after working his way up through the youth academy at London Colney.
He scored a stunning strike shortly after being introduced in their defeat to Atletico Madrid during the International Champions Cup, with many fans comparing the 17-year-old to Zinedine Zidane.
And after his strong pre-season, fans are confident he could get his Premier League debut during their season-opener against Manchester City on Sunday.
Arsenal released footage on their social media channels of the players training at London Colney before their first game of the season.
Smith Rowe was seen being put through his paces alongside first-team stars Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
And many fans were quick to call on boss Emery to start the youngster.
“I want to see Rowe in action @unaiemery,” one fan wrote.
Another fan claimed: ”Safe to say Emile Smith Rowe will be in the squad for Sunday.”
“@emilesmithrowe ready for his @premierleague adventure,” a third fan said.
And one fan simply wrote: “We. Start Smith Rowe ….weve Won the game.”
Meanwhile, Gunners legend Paul Merson believes Emery has not had enough time with his new players before taking on the reigning champions.
“If you had asked me last Saturday I’d have fancied Arsenal, but City were outstanding last weekend [in the Community Shield] against Chelsea,” Merson said in his Sky Sports prediction column.
“I feel with the new manager, there will be a plan this time from Arsenal, whereas last year they got absolutely rinsed.
“But I think City will have too much for them.
“With these Arsenal players on the training ground, you’ve got to make drills monotonous to really ram home the message, but I don’t think they’ve had the time yet.”
